Song of the Week: KREAM & Clara Mae ‘Drowning’

This week’s Song of the Week comes from Norwegian DJ-production duo KREAM!

Fresh off of their first breakout hit “Taped Up Heart,” which was included on The Dance Winter Playlist 2016, the talented brothers have released their next offering called “Drowning,” yet another infectious dance throb assisted by the soaring vocals of Swedish singer Clara Mae.

The track basically caters to those who fell in love with their “Taped Up Heart” formula with its instantly addictive topline and electo-pop-driven pulse. “We’re drowning out/ And you know I’ve been thirsty for a while now/ Drowning out/ But you won’t taste a drop with your mouth/ Why won’t you just drink the water, need you to try it first/ We’re drowning out..,” Cara croons ahead of the song’s high-octane, post-chorus drop.

Time will tell whether “Drowning” be able to match the success of “Taped Up Heart,” but one thing is certainty clear – KREAM have mastered their aesthetic, and we can’t wait to hear more of what they have to offer in the future. GET INTO IT!

“Drowning” by KREAM & Cara Mae is also available on Spotify and Apple Music now!
