Things finally seem to be aligning for singing-songwriting Queen Bebe Rexha!
After years and years of working in the background, co-penning tracks for some of music’s biggest names – Rihanna, Eminem, Iggy Azalea, Selena Gomez, Tinashe – jumping on a number of high-profile collaborations and releasing music of her very own with little recognition, Bebe is finally getting the spotlight she truly deserves.
On top of kicking off her first ever North American headlining tour next month, Bebe‘s current single “I Got You” is quickly climbing up the Billboard charts – currently #18 on the Pop chart and #56 on the Hot 100, her highest solo charting single yet. And to keep the momentum going strong, Bebe‘s just released the first part of her debut studio album: All Your Fault: Pt. 1!
Along with the previously mentioned “I Got You,” part one of the LP includes the moody opener “Atmosphere,” which I’ve been dying to hear in its full glory since she first teased in back in January of last year. Luckily, it’s remained untouched – it’s just as, yes, atmospheric as I remember it. A fave for sure…
There’s also “Small Doses,” which feels like the more aggressive sister child to “Atmosphere,” the hard-knocking “Gateway Drug” and then there’s the rapper-assisted cuts “F.F.F.” featuring her “Me, Myself & I” collaborator G-Eazy and “Bad Bitch” with feature-staple Ty Dolla $ign – the two very obvious next single choices.
What’s clear from these first batch of songs is that Bebe isn’t here to play around anymore, she is indeed taking that “Bad Bitch” title: “You say you want a bad bitch/ Baby now you have it/ Now you got a bad bitch/ Show me you can handle this!”
Bebe Rexha’s “All Your Fault: Pt. 1” is also available on Apple Music!
