Let your guards down my sweet angels, “I Got You“!
Well, technically Bebe Rexha‘s got you, but I’m here to rely the message so like same, right?
Last time we got some proper material from Bebe was back in March when she dropped “No Broken Hearts” featuring Nicki Minaj. Since then, she’s kept busy putting the finishing touches to her long-awaited debut album A.Y.F. – which is finally set to see the light of day next year on January 17th – teamed up with Martin Garrix on his latest single “In The Name Of Love,” and has booked a hosting gig for the upcoming 2016 MTV EMAs. She’s quietly doing the damn thing y’all!
This week, she’s back and all on her own again with the sophisticated Captain Cuts-produced “I Go You“! The singing-songwriting kwaeeen is moving away from the something-more-urban vibe of her predecessor and switching it up for a more current, super infectious banga with a sleek electro-pop edge, which, if anything, feels like a return to form – see “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy” and “I Can’t Stop Drinking Without You.”
“We can get high, oh nah, nah, nah/ We can get low, oh nah, nah, nah/ Let me be your friend, baby let me in/ Tell you no lies, oh, nah, nah, nah,” she sings on-top of the soaring synthesizers and pulsating drum beat. It’s immediate from the very first play, the kind of song she’s been needing. LOVE – What do you guys think?
