Alicia Keys Returns To Form On Studio Version Of ‘Hallelujah’!

Alicia KeysIt’s here! After months and months of teasing and then performing the song live for the first time on Saturday Night Live back in May, Alicia Keys has finally released the full, finished studio version of “Hallelujah“!

The emotional, piano-driven ballad – produced in collaboration with Jimmy Napes – sees Alicia ditching the dancehall-influenced sound of her addictive lead single “In Common,” and trading it in for a more classic-feeling, blusey gospel-inspired production as she belts out: “Hallelujah, hallelujah, let me in/ I’ve been praying but I’m paying for my sins/ Won’t you give me a sign if I lose my mind?/ Woah, hallelujah, let me in.”

The song is basically what we’ve come to expect from Alicia at this point in her career, a natrual and raw return-to-form.
