And now for something completely amazing via Little Boots!
“Staring At The Sun” is the lead single from Boots‘ fourth studio album Afterworks, which is due to be released later this year–almost exactly a year after her last record Working Girl, the under-appreciated surprise of 2015.
Produced by one of Brit-Pop’s very best, Richard X (Will Young, Sugababes, Annie, Sophie Ellis-Bextor), “Staring At The Sun” is a euphoric liberation anthem of sorts, equipped with earworm melodies and dreamy, early ’90’s club pulsations. “We’re staring at the sun-sun-sun-sun-sun,” she repeats throughout. Like Boots‘ last record, “Staring At The Sun” is truly dance-pop at its finest — blending Boots‘ effortless song-crafting sensibility with Richard X‘s pristine production skills. It’s simply everything, but did we really expect anything less from these two?
Forever obsessed with Little Boots.
