Now that her ’90’s-biting lead single “NO” has been a certifiable smash hit for a few weeks now, Meghan Trainor is ready to move on to the, on to the on, to the the next with the premiere of its official follow-up: “Me Too“!
Produced By Ricky Reed, “Me Too” is another ode to self-love, but instead of diving into more funk-influenced throwback sounds (“I Love Me” and “Watch Me Do“), “Me Too” sees Meghan lacing her soulful swag on top of a dance-heavy beat, which brings to mind will.i.am‘s “Scream & Shout” and Fifth Harmony‘s “This Is How We Roll“.
Some of the lyrics (as per usual) border on cheesy, but its undeniably a radio-ready ear worm. I already can’t get the “If I was you, I’d wanna be me too/ I’d wanna be me too” hook out of my head. What do you guys think?
