The talented hit-makers – who first collaborated on Sean‘s 2013 single “Beware,” followed by 2015’s “I Know” from Dark Sky Paradise – have formed a new duo and released an album under the same name called TWENTY88! The eight-track set “tells the story of the highs and lows of a relationship, with insights into conflict, memories, love, sex, and more and features production from Key Wane, Detail, and Tommy Brown.”
“Music now doesn’t really cater to the feelings of a real relationship,” Jhene recently told Flaunt. “It’s all about trapping and bragging. I feel like this project is something that’s needed right now…Especially a whole project, is just good for people to see. That duality is a perfect combination. It gets turned up, then it gets melodic, then it gets vibed out. It touches all these things, but it sounds very cohesive.”
TWENTY88 is available to stream exclusively through TIDAL for four days, and fans can download it at other digital retailers including Apple Music.
Things like this need to happen more often, these two are a match made in R&B/Hip-Hop heaven!
