Charli XCX Announces New Label, Shares SOPHIE-Produced ‘Trophy’!

Charli XCXBOOM CLAP: Charli XCX is back at it again!

It’s been over a year (and a few months) since the release of her underrated sophomore album Sucker (which remains one of the best records of 2014), and now, the rebellious pop hit-maker has announced that she will be releasing a new SOPHIE-produced Vroom Vroom EP this Friday (February 26) via her very own brand new label: Vroom Vroom Recordings!

In celebration, Charli and Vroom Vroom have shared an explosive new tune titled “Trophy,” the EP’s title track – which Charli premiered back in October on Beats 1 – as well as singles from London-based duo RIVRS and UK singer Cuckoolander (both of which are coming soon on the label).

Angels. Today is the launch day of my own brand new record label, Vroom Vroom Recordings. This is a project I have been working on for a while now. The label focuses on experimental and futuristic pop music. As a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, I will be releasing artists who I believe have the potential to change the face of pop music. As well as releasing the prelude to my 3rd album, in the form of the Vroom Vroom EP, i will also be releasing singles from two new acts, RIVRS and CuckooLander, on the 26th February. The Vroom Vroom EP features vocals from Hannah Diamond and the beginnings of my collaboration with producer Sophie. I can’t wait for you guys to hear the music in full. Its my favorite music i’ve ever made. Its really really good.”

FYI: Friday will also see the launch of Charli‘s brand new ongoing Beats 1 radio show named “The Candy Shop.”
