‘Last Dance’: Dua Lipa Keeps Momentum Going Stronger With Another Smash!

Dua LipaI’ve let too much time pass by so everybody listen up! This is Dua Lipa, a very talented and gorgeous 20-year-old London-based singer-songwriter who is really, really about to be a big thing (me thinks), and its very important that you get familiar with her now (because I said so, k).

After securing a healthy amount of buzz with her incredible YouTube covers and her own properly amazing finished material, including the skittering “New Love” and the outstanding “Be The One,” the young UK diva on-the-rise earned herself a place on the BBC’s Sound of 2016 longlist and has since been touring around her native. So in short, she’s got a lot of well-deserved hype surrounding her at the moment. THE PRESSURE IS ON!

No worries though, Dua ain’t even breakin’ a sweat in 2016. Her just released new single “Last Dance,” a euphoric explosion of vulnerability laced with superb pop production, is an instant undeniable smash from the very first play. “We were built to last/ We were built like that/ Baby take my hand/ Tighten this romance/ We could burn and crash/ We could take a chance/ Holdin’ nothing back like it’s our last dance, like it’s our last dance,” she sings as the hard-hitting, near-tribal pulsations fill out the infectious hook.

“I wrote ‘Last Dance‘ in Toronto with Talay Riley and it’s produced by Koz,” Dua told Noisey. “I was homesick and tired and was really missing home. It was a very honest moment for me where I was able to write about how I was feeling that very moment. Every time I listen back to the track it takes me back to that exact moment and how I felt. It’s kind of magic.” Magic, indeed – LOVE!
