Zayn Malik Breaks Free From One Direction On Late Night Debut ‘PILLOWTALK’!

Zayn Malik–perhaps better known ’round these parts as my future husband (Sorry, GiGi Hadid)–has just released “PILLOWTALK,” the first single off of his upcoming debut RCA solo album, Mind of Mine.

The young, former One Direction superstar has been making plenty of headlines lately, but not so much for his artistry: Instead, he’s made waves for stealing Joe Jonas‘ girl (GiGi) and speaking out – not so positively – about his time as a 1D member, from the X Factor UK, to the truth about their music to why he left the band. It’s all come off a little ungrateful, but then again, Zayn along with the rest of the boys never intended to be part of the band in the first place, they auditioned as solo artist.

But now, that’s all over and it’s time for Zayn to show the world what he has to offer: “Pillow Talk,” a more mature, hard-edged urban sound that pretty evidently marks a clear shift in his musical style — and certainly more sensual lyricism: “So we’ll piss off the neighbours/ In the place that feels the tears/ The place to lose your fears/ Yeah, reckless behavior/ A place that is so pure, so dirty and raw,” he seductively croons over the spacey ambient sounds and tripping hip-hop beats, recalling The Weeknd, Miguel, Chris Brown and a bit of Erik Hassle.

It’s hot, hypnotizing, and purely next-level. I AM TOTALLY HERE FOR SOLO ZAYN MALIK – WIN!
