Meghan Trainor Delivers The Good Vibes On ‘Peanuts’ Soundtrack Cut ‘Better When I’m Dancin’!

Meghan Trainor may still be recovering from her scary vocal surgery but at least she’s got three 2015 American Music Awards nominations (which were announced this week), including a nod in the prestigious Artist of the Year category, to keep things positive for the “All About That Bass” hit-maker. But that’s not all …

This week, Meghan is making sure her star is still shinning bright with the official premiere of “Better When I’m Dancin,” her bubbly contribution to 20th Century Fox’s The Peanuts Movie Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which is set to be released on October 23rd!

Kicking off with a light piano melody and a bouncy dance beat, Meghan gently croons her way into the calm production as warm, tropical House pulsations smoothly fill out the track, bringing Justin Bieber (“What Do You Mean?“) and Felix Jaehn‘s remix of OMI‘s “Cheerleader” to mind. It’s hardly anything out of this world – it’s for a kids film, let’s be real – but it’s undeniably a solid soundtrack contribution. WIN!

“I was thrilled to be offered the chance to see an early vision of The Peanuts Movie and then be inspired to write a song that captured the film’s spirit, energy, and sense of joy,” Meghan said in a statement. “It was a pleasure to work with director Steve Martino to make sure the song did right by the incredible characters that the team is bringing to the big screen. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the song!”
